By this vacancy, we are looking for 2 EVS volunteers, who will be realising their EVS project in 2 different kindergartens in our city (Lodz,Poland)

The main objective of kindergartens taking part in the project is widely understood independence of children. We want children graduating our nursery to be able to make their own choices, take independent decisions as well as having high self-esteem.

We want our children to be able to independently solve their problems and carry out the actions taken.

Our target group is children between 3-5 years old, participating in the process mentioned above. In our everyday life in the kindergarten, we are helping children in organizing activities planned in such a way that they could decide on their own about the place, manner of its implementation etc. Children’s closest surrounding and environment (for example playing classes etc.) are organized in such a way that the child can independently make choices on when he / she wants to play, which materials he/she wants to use and operate with etc.
In order to develop children’s different types of intelligence, we are using inter alia:
– short and long distance trips
– theatre plays, concerts
– children are also participating in varied competitions
– we are organising occasional performances (for example „Mother’s Day”, „Father’s Day”, “Carnival Ball”etc.)
– music-theatre and other art events

We are also trying to actively include children’s parents in the educational process and so there is:
– parental participation in the campaign called “Whole Poland Reads Books to Children”
– parental participation in their profession’s promotion
– family picnics organised by our kindergarten

Our staff has a lot of experience in working with children. The kindergarten is opened from Monday to Friday, volunteer’s activity will take place 5 days a week, for around 6 hours per day.

Tasks

Possible tasks proposed to volunteers include but are not limited to: 1. creating stories, games and different ways to entertain children using volunteer’s creativity; 2. learning (observation, discussion) about the art of teaching – kindergarten teachers are professionals and they are willing to share their teaching methods; 3. preparing and then – using at work tools/materials to play/educate children, for example: drawings, games, toys, workshops and many others; 4. preparing acting classes showing to children how the faces and body language can express almost everything; 5. recording videos (about the life in a kindergarten or other topics proposed by the volunteer and discussed with the kindergarten representatives); 6. showing volunteer’s culture in a creative way (presentations, music, dances, kindergarten plays etc.); 7. organising music/art classes, workshops or sessions – according to volunteers interests and talents; 8. community management – supporting teachers with running kindergarten’s Facebook page – volunteer could support this process by taking photos during the events provided in the kindergarten and taking care of the promotional aspects afterwards

Criteria

By this vacancy, we are looking for candidates from TURKEY(2) ONLY. We would like to host volunteers, who are interested in working with children aged 3-5. A perfect candidate should be empathic, open-minded, creative and motivated. This person should be able to work with a group as well as work on his / her own. Artistic skills and interest in the fields of: music, art, theatre, photography will be an additional value.

Financial Conditions of the Project:

– Accommodation and food will be covered by Project budget.

– Visa and residence permit cost will be covered by Project budget.

– Travel cost will be covered by Project budget.

– Pocket money will be provided from the Project budget: 90 Euro (per month)
